About Me

Hey there 👋
I’m Victor, a Montreal-based software engineer with over a decade of experience. My mission is to leverage technology to solve complex problems and make a positive impact on society by building high-quality software that is maintainable, easy to understand, well-documented, and extendable.
I’ve had the privilege of working with companies that have undergone significant growth and change, including two IPOs. Through these experiences, I gained valuable expertise in working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and delivering results.
My expertise lies in building high-availability, cloud-native Go backend applications, and I’ve worked with companies of all sizes and verticals. At Unity, I started as a member of the eCommerce team, where I contributed to the development of the company’s new checkout experience. Later, I transitioned to start the new Identity and Entitlements team, where I focused on building reliable, scalable systems for managing creator’s identities and entitlements while maintaining a focus on code quality.
Previously, I was part of the Payments team at Lightspeed, where I helped build and maintain mission-critical payment microservices. Our initiatives facilitated onboarding, chargeback disputes, reconciliation, and fraud prevention, which helped the company transition from an ISO to a PayFac model, significantly increasing revenue.
I’m passionate about technology and its potential to create positive change. I’m always eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends. When I’m not coding, I enjoy capturing moments through my camera, which I share on my photography website.
